I mean…, if I’ma be honest,
I gotta tell all the reasons why this took so long
First, I pretty much had a choice,
I could've stayed in Long Beach,
And continued trying to grind it out locally for however many more years
Or…, I could try to expand my audience
I pretty much felt like I did all I could already back home
And didn’t want to stay stagnant
So when an opportunity came for me to move to New York,
I decided to spread my wings…
But this shit’s been going on for over 3yrs…shits crazy...
Mind you, I’m independent
Which means all of these things are coming out of my own pocket
And when you’re paying for quality,
That shit ain’t cheap and it adds up
So, a lot of this lagging on the project was also due to that as well
Which is why it also took so long
So I fell back to focus,
Isolated myself to do my own thang...,
And I also decided to stay out of the mix,
...and be drama free.
