Stadl-Paura is one of the largest and most important towns in the Wels-Land district. With over 5,000 inhabitants, numerous businesses, and attractions, Stadl-Paura has developed into a vibrant and attractive town.
Settlements on the Paura hill date back to the Neolithic period, and later the Celts and Romans arrived. Artifacts now housed in the Upper Austrian State Museum in Linz, the Wimsbach Museum, and the Boatmen's Museum attest to the town's long history.
