||Using Two Simple Steps to block website||
If you want to block specific websites from your computer, you can do so by modifying the Hosts file on the computer with a text editor, such as Notepad. The Hosts file is the file on the computer that tells it what websites to map to what IP addresses.
Step 1
Open Notepad on your computer by clicking "Start," "All Programs," "Accessories" and then "Notepad." If you are running Vista/7, you will need to right-click the program name and select "Run as Administrator."

Step 2
Click "File," "Open" and then browse to the following file: "C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts." The Hosts file has no file extension. Click the "Open" button.
Step 3
Put two new lines into the Hosts file for each website that you wish to block. The two lines are "127.0.0.1 and "127.0.0.1 followed by website" where "website" is the example website you wish to block.
Step 4
Save the file and exit Notepad. The website is now blocked.
Second method is to block website using Chrome extension...
Step 1
The easiest way to block a website on a desktop version of Chrome is to use an extension. There are many options available, like Blocksite

As with other Chrome Extension, the installation process is almost immediate. Simply click the link above or search for “Block Site” in the Chrome Web Store to go to the extension’s page.
Then click the “Add to Chrome Button” and confirm the request by clicking “Add extension” in the install prompt.
Step 3
Once you’ve added the extension, it’ll ask for your permission to record browsing data, which you can deny.
After that, you’ll see the a
pp’s user interface where you can add your very first blocked site. Simply type in a URL and press enter to block any website.....
