“These tracks come from when I was writing for my first solo album release on Sneaker Social Club - a big deal for me..
I have remixed and edited them slightly; they didn't make it onto releases but I feel they have a life and vibe that sums up what I as exploring and how I was feeling at the time that I thought some peeps may be interested...
Inspirations: The Trilogy Tapes / Rezzett, Logos / Weightless, Jon Tejada & Mathew Jonson, the ever-present inspiration of Paul Woolford / Special Request and how he manages to invent and originate in lots of different genres and vibes...as always trying to channel perhaps a tiny bit of the futuristic B-Boyism spiritz of 4 Hero Goldie Autechre.....
Some of them started as experiments to show students at the college I had just started working at. The fun about teaching is it also involves learning new stuff, so I had started to go in deeper on Ableton's Sampler (an instrument I still love & use) & various resampling / FM synthesis vibes
