The Dark Project One HS-4 is a new pair of headphones from Dark Project – a company that has made a name for itself with custom gaming keyboards and mice. Do the headphones match the quality of other Dark Project accessories? What do they have to offer? What surprises do they offer? Find out by watching our review of the Dark Project One HS-4 in both wired and wireless versions.
Constructively, the Dark Project One HS-4 headphones are similar to models from HyperX and Endorf. Their shape is based on proven solutions. The entire headset is lightweight, and the pads are soft and comfortable. So, for longer gaming marathons, the Dark Project One HS-4 is almost perfect. Almost, because its design isn't without its flaws. What are these flaws? SPLASH will reveal them in the article.
The wired model comes with a detachable microphone, a jack cable with remote, and an adapter. The more expensive wireless version includes not only spare leather earpads but also a hard, sturdy case that will effectively protect the headphones during travel.
While wired headphones are typically gaming headphones, the Dark Project One HS-4 wireless are also perfect for listening to music from your phone. The Bluetooth connection is stable, and the range is also excellent. The problems begin, however, when you try to answer a call while playing on PC. SPLASH will tell you the details.
The Dark Project One HS-4 is a headset that's perfect for shooters like Fortnite, CS:GO, or Overwatch. Gunfire and explosions don't pierce your ears, and locating enemies is easy. However, in role-playing games, the headphones perform only so-so.
Are the Dark Project One HS-4 headphones worth the price? Which version is better: the cheaper (wired) or the wireless? You'll find the answers to these questions in the article above. 0:00 Introduction
