The Bloodflame Knight Build is one of the BEST melee focused builds you can make in Elden Ring. It combines the Bloodflame incantation with one of the deadliest katanas in the game, The Nagakiba. The final touch on this build is the Double Slash ash of war. This ash of war mimics the moveset of the rivers of blood katana but feels more effective on the nagakiba thanks to the extended range and ability to add other status effects such as ice, poison or rot. This powerful ash of war adds swift and deadly attacks to your nagakiba, allowing you to stack fire damage and blood loss very quickly and also provides decent AOE damage for hitting multiple targets at once.
For my secondary I’m using a dagger which has the Golden Vow ash of war. This ash of war is actually a replica of the Golden Vow incantation which adds 15% extra damage to your build and provides 10% damage reduction form enemies. This dagger is strictly a utility weapon and does not need to upgraded.
In my left hand I have a basic finger seal that I purchased from the twin maiden husks at the roundtable hold. The first incantation on this build is flame grant me strength. It only requires 15 faith to cast and adds 20% physical and fire affinity attack power to your nagakiba. The second incantation on this build is the Bloodflame Blade which is easily one of the best damage buffs in the entire game. This incantation adds fire damage to your nagakiba and increases the speed at which blood loss builds up allowing you melt through every enemy in the game. The flame grant me strength incantation increases the effectiveness of bloodflame which is why the two go hand in hand.
The first talisman you will be using is the winged sword insignia. This talisman raises attack power with each successive attack, allowing you to stack up to 10% extra damage. The second talisman is the green turtle talisman which boosts your stamina recovery speed. This is essential for survivability since it increases your likelihood of landing extra attacks or dodging out of the way at the very last second. Next, the fire scorpion charm which raises your fire attack power but lowers your damage negation. This talisman increases your fire damage by 12% but increases the damage you take by 15%. The last talisman on this build is the shard of alexander which boosts the attack power of your skills by 15%. In this case, this talisman is making your double slash ash of war even stronger.
The final piece of this build is the wondrous physick which contains the flame shrouding cracked tear and the thorny cracked tear. The flame shrouding cracked tear increases your fire attack power by 20% and can be stacked with the fire scorpion charm. The Thorny cracked tear increases damage with each successive hit up to 20% and stacks nicely with the winged sword insignia.
