Resident Evil 2 (known in Japan as Biohazard RE:2) is a survival horror video game developed by Capcom R&D Division 1 and published by Capcom on January 25, 2019, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows. It is a remake of the 1998 game of the same name. Versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S were released in 2022. iOS, iPadOS, and macOS versions were released on December 10, 2024. The game's story follows rookie police officer Leon Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield as they attempt to escape Raccoon City, which has been infected by a zombie virus.
