Interior Gateway Routing Protocol (IGRP)
Description: IGRP is a Cisco proprietary distance-vector routing protocol. It has been mostly replaced by EIGRP but was used in the past for routing within an autonomous system.
How it Works: IGRP uses a metric based on bandwidth, delay, load, and reliability, and periodically exchanges routing information between routers within an AS.
Used in: Legacy networks that are using Cisco routers and have not yet migrated to EIGRP.
