Patrick Michael Hughes, fashion historian and Professor at Parsons School of Design in New York, talks to Nicola Jennings over Cucumber Martinis about John Singer Sargent and fashion. They discuss some of the paintings and garments which featured in recent exhibitions in Boston and London, highlighting Sargent's imaginitive approach to fashioning his many sitters as well as turn of the 20th century interest in historic costume revivals.
