Sonko Leaks Phonecalls Exposing Fallout With Conjestina Over Using Bus Instead of Plane
Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko has exonerated himself from blame over the current health problems of veteran boxer Conjestina Achieng while blaming her family for ‘negligence’.
Conjestina, who was taken to a Mombasa hospital for treatment in July 2022 before being discharged in June last year courtesy of Sonko, is reported to have slipped back to her mental problems at her home in Siaya county.
Media personality Carol Radull shared the condition of ‘Conje’ when she visited her in Siaya, saying the boxer was not doing well, months after she was given a clean bill of health.
That raised questions over what happened after the treatment she received at the Mombasa Women Empowerment Network Hospital and the promise of a job by Sonko who had vowed to ensure she does not return to Siaya.
Sonko came out to shed light on how the former boxer ended up at her rural home despite the public knowing she was under his care
“I have seen a post by my good friend Carol Radull on Conjee, which attracted both positive and negative reactions from the public,” Sonko posted on social media.
“Others were criticising and accusing me of playing PR and vipindiree. I hereby wish to respond with facts as hereunder: Kenyans, I did my best to help Conjee, but her family watered down my efforts.
