Design X Social is a global design challenge and one of UMO Design Foundation’s core events. It reflects UMO’s founding philosophy of Good Design For Better Living. The challenge invites designers, entrepreneurs, students, and citizens to positively impact people's lives by identifying urgent social issues and progressively addressing them by design.
At this year’s challenge, our participants ideated and proposed solutions around the theme - ‘Designing for Crisis.’ We received entries from Belgium, Thailand, Ukraine, Canada, Russia, Palestine, Nigeria, Philippines, Bangladesh, Georgia, Egypt, UAE, China, USA, Vietnam, Romania, France, Sri Lanka, Uganda, Brazil, UK, Australia, and India.
