Set 30 years after the original Ridley Scott classic, 2049 follows K, a Blade Runner who stumbles onto a case that could challenge how the world defines life. With all of these reboots lately, it was only a matter of time until this happened. What makes this one stand out though is that they managed to bring visionary director Denis Villeneuve on board to helm it. So does he deliver?
