Ambilight on a Samsung TV controlled by Nvidia Shield TV
Custom made Ambilight that works as a nice extra feature that can be realized on all possible TVs that are supported in a certain way by AndroidTV. just stuck to the back of a Samsung 4K screen.
All parts came from AliExpress. Total price under € 30.- and of course free shipping.
A configuration application is available in the Gooooooogle Play Store that is paid software and costs € 3.
Other possible solutions are a connection between PC and TV. Then there is a free application available.
It will also work with Kodi, Raspberry, Arduino and many other programming devices.
There is an option to make the ambilight fade like a Hue light. And extra are some great automatic scripts that are delivered in the software that you can use as a party lamp or whatever.
Installation about 30 minutes to 50 minutes incl. Software setup.
