Here's my attempt at a brief history lesson to help you prepare for the newly announced DLC. I'm not nearly as well versed in this part of Chinese History, but I know enough to be able to explain to people who might not know what it is. One's things for sure though, Sima Yan is an absolute legend, if you ignore that he basically let his dynasty collapse over 10 years.
I'll probably pick this up, but I would've preferred a more Three Kingdoms oriented DLC.
