Thumb rule: Do you know your queries?
Example 1:
In any Accont Ledger system, most of the people can be queried using their phone number. So adhoc queries are less and rare.
NoSQL is good for this system.
Example 2:
In Appointment system, your searches are not confirmed, example below are different types of searches:
By Phone number, User, Location, Date, Category (health checkup, medicine, cardiologyst, salon, etc), Person (like doctor whom we want to meet)
or Any combination of above mentioned parameters.
In Appointment system, NOSQL is a terrible idea.
