Steven L. Bridges takes us behind-the-scenes during the installation of an exhibition on the work of Michael Burton.

The exhibition displays drawings and early concept sketches by Burton, a Lansing native and the first Black designer to work for the top three automobile companies in the United States—Ford, Chrysler, and GM. The exhibition dedicated to Burton’s work will be on view Jan. 15–Aug. 15, 2021. Reserve your free tickets at broadmuseum.msu.edu/visit.

Michael Burton is organized by the Eli and Edythe Broad Art Museum at Michigan State University and curated by Steven L. Bridges, Associate Curator. Support for this exhibition is provided by the Alan and Rebecca Ross endowed exhibition fund.
