Why You Should Map Artwork As a Symbol on 3D Objects in Illustrator
When creating 3D artwork you often have a choice: you can extrude everything directly (as we did with the rounded rectangle poker chip) or you can map the artwork as a symbol on a dummy object. Sometimes you do not have this choice, but have to use the symbol method. In this video we are going to look at how this works and how you can reduce rendering time.
