XCSource HDMI SCART Converter Review
This XCSOURCE box converts the analog video signal from a SCART socket into a digital HDMI signal.
It must be powered via the included 5V/1A USB cable.
The markings on the box are clear: the "Input" side receives the male SCART connector, while the other side of the box ("Output") receives the male HDMI connector, which is then connected to the TV.
A switch allows you to switch between two output resolutions: 720p or 1080p.
I tested this product with a VCR and a DVD player. Both are equipped with a SCART output. The image on a Full HD TV does not bleed; the quality is decent. There is a 2-second delay to switch between the two resolutions.
The box is quiet; however, it does tend to get hot during use. However, this does not affect its operation.
I didn't notice any display issues, either in terms of the colors or the sharpness on the screen. So, I'm quite satisfied with this converter, even though I only use it occasionally.
