By popular demand, we're "playing" a bit again. Given the current weather outside, this video is more of a "nice way to pass the time," but somehow it's still pretty cool and exciting.

The preparation is so much fun, childlike and naive fun. First, we'll go through the current NOAA charts for informational purposes. (NOAA is the American weather agency that publishes various products—including the GFS model, but also the CFS and the monthly trends; will a month be too warm, too cold, too wet, or too dry? Experience has shown that these charts have a significantly lower probability of being accurate than just rolling dice. But they are still part of the model family, and within the context of synoptic weather, I want to include them, even if only for informational purposes—if only to see how things actually turned out.)

After that, we'll look at the individual runs of the CFS. Of course, you can't and shouldn't take them at face value. But when many layers are repeated over and over again, a trend emerges. And for several years now, we've been doing exceptionally well with this – unlike the monthly summaries. I explain the details in the video anyway.

Finally, I have to show you the cards for the last ten days of December, actually the Christmas cards. My grandpa would have said, "You'll be blown away!"

(There's no point in discussing the merits of such a video. Those who think it's silly simply don't watch it; those who love it will enjoy it. Live and let live. I'm making the video available. Thank you.)
