Powerful Hand Made Brushless Motor
This is a motor designed to run a weapon on a combat robot. It's a brushless design and will swing a 2 or 3 pound disk with carbide inserts at about 5,000 rpm. I'm using this prototype as an airplane motor. Note: YES the test is dangerous, but I decided to make a video that wouldn't be boring. As a result I decided to edit and keep conversations to the design of the motor.
Some Specs:
The motor has no model number because I made it myself. The specifications are at the beginning of the video, It is a 40-6-765 I don't know for sure but would think it could run at 500-600 watts easily if need be. The stator is 40 mm dia. x 20 mm thick and the laminations are .2 mm thick. It's a 6 turn motor terminated in Wye (Star). The winding is 14 strands of #28 wire. There are 8 magnetic poles each made from three 2 x 4 x 20 mm. N-50 Neodymium magnets. The motor is 765 KV (765 RPM's per volt)
