How to Make a Thaumatrope (Optical Illusion)
This is a short tutorial is about making a thaumatrope. When a thaumatrope is spun it creates an optical illusion making it look like two separate images are one. To create a thaumatrope trace a circle onto paper and cut it out. Then create a hole on either side using a hole punch. Draw one part of your image on one side then flip the paper vertically and draw the rest of the image. Loop a rubber band through the holes and then twist them to see the image come together. You can also give this to your cat as a fun toy.
