Big malform sambar stag at a high country wallow
This big old stag turned up at a wallow in the high country in early 2019. He stuck around for a while then shifted location over winter. Summer 2019 he grew velvet and came back to the wallow where I managed a clip of him just before the Stealth Cam DS4K batteries went flat. I swapped card and batteries in early 2020 but I have not hiked back into the wallow to check camera to see if he is still alive and how he looks. I hope to get there in Spring 2022 for a card and battery swap over and maybe he will still be walking the hills. Fingers crossed.
