"Whoever loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and whoever loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me; and whoever does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me." (Matthew 10:37-38)
What does it mean to take up one's cross?
It means to walk one's life's path, with its difficulties and hardships, without giving up.
God's Law, the expression of love for God and neighbor—this is also a kind of cross for a person.
How to make this path easier for yourself and others:
1. Never think that someone else's cross is easier.
2. Be prepared for difficulties, but ask God for strength and help.
3. Help others when their cross is unbearably difficult.
Remember that the result of bearing the cross will be resurrection and eternal life!
