As many of you know, Canada’s capital is Ottawa, a city with just over 1 million people, but did you know Canada actually has a designated capital region, however unlike our southern neighbours this designation carries little weight, you see the National Capital region or NCR, is not a separate province or even share common services, actually the NCR is shared with two provinces, and while many small communities are a part of it, we’ll focus on the main two cities, Ottawa which is on the Ontario side, and Gatineau, which is on the Quebec side.
