Flooding Saarland of the Blies 17 May 2024 in the St. Wendel area
During the night of May 16-17, heavy rainfall occurred in Saarland.
It rained continuously for hours, resulting in flooding, high water, and landslides. Reportedly, there was 100 l/m² of rainfall.
I had to drive from my home via the B41 to Niederlinxweiler and later to St. Wendel.
I documented the trip and some of the locations.
Even though we've had floods twice this year alone, at the beginning of January and at the beginning of April, this time the flood was much more severe.
