Something for Railway Romantics - Locomotive Märklin 18 323 with Functions
The trains on the model layout are controlled by a PC program I developed myself. Due to the new locomotive 18 323, which has as many as 28 functions, I have made significant updates to it.
Now, the locomotive’s acceleration is adjustable. For this locomotive, a realistic impression is achieved with an acceleration of 1 km/h/s (the speed increases by 1 km/h every second).
Another new feature is adding locomotive functions to the timetable. A function is triggered based on the position of the train on the track section indicated in the timetable above the function. This operation is clearly demonstrated in the final part of the video.
