I was very excited to visit Gary and his team at MiNT Camera in Causeway Bay in Hong Kong. Since the demise of Polaroid and their prolific line of instant films and cameras, many lovers of instant photography have stepped up and are reviving this beloved medium of photography. The Impossible Project bought the last existing Polaroid factory and started recreating legacy instant films; and companies like MiNT started refurbishing and modifying older Polaroid cameras to fulfill existing demand.
The InstantFlex TL70 is one of the only major innovations in instant photography in a very long time and I was eager to talk to the inventor and founder of MiNT Camera. Gary is an engineer and has dedicated his technical know-how towards his passion for instant photography. Watch this interview to learn more about this young inventor and his super cool company
