Alla Prima Portrait in Oils | Every Single Brush-Stroke
In this video I am sharing the process of Alla-Prima technique. Painting with Oil Paint while showing you every single brush stroke. this will demonstrate to you, how simple painting can be.
It took me three hours of painting to reach a point where I feel satisfied with the portrait.
From here it is super easy to dive in deeper and put as many details as I want.
The most important thing in Alla-Prima Technique is to construct the most important features of the face as fast as possible, with n fear, just trying to translate the structure of the face that I am seeing onto the canvas.
Realistic Painting is 90% Imagination, and only 10% from observation.
It is built on logic, laws of physics. simple questions that I keep asking my-self threw out the painting process. where the light is coming from ? what parts of the face are facing the light ? and so on ....
