Installation of RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Solar profiles on exisiting RENOLIT ALKORPLAN Bright at STIHL
How do you install solar panels on a roof that was waterproofed over a year ago? In this video, we showcase how 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗧 ALKORPLAN, together with Presa Impermeabilización, successfully tackled this technical challenge at STIHL’s facility.
✔️Initial situation: The client planned to invest in a photovoltaic system on a roof previously waterproofed. According to the technical guidelines for 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗧 ALKORPLAN Solar profiles, installation is only recommended on roofs less than one year old.
✔️Technical solution: On-site pull-out tests and lab analysis were carried out to assess wind resistance and membrane condition. Tests included cold foldability, shear strength of welds, and peel resistance.
✔️Final result: The installation of 𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗧 ALKORPLAN Solar profiles was approved. This ultra-lightweight system allows for secure and watertight mounting of solar modules without penetrating the waterproofing membrane.
