BAM 2003 EARTHQUAKE, WHO SURVIVED? ARG-E BAM DETAILS
On December 26, 2003, a moment magnitude of 6.6 earthquake, destroyed almost the entire city of Bam.
The death toll amounted to at least 34,000 people and injured up to 200,000.
The effects of the earthquake were exacerbated by the use of mud brick as the standard construction medium; many of the area's structures did not comply with earthquake regulations set in 1989.
Bam has the world's largest adobe building, and we are going to see what happened to it before and after the earthquake.
