This is my interpretation of ,,Omaggio a Tárrega". It's an homage to the famous classical guitarist Francisco Tárrega. The piece itself is a minimalist style melody, which extends thematicly. Leo Brouwer uses the technique ,,tremolo", a fast repetition of the same note. Tárrega was one of the composers to perfectionise the tremolo in many pieces such as ,,Recuerdos de la Alhambra" , one of the most famous pieces in classical guitar

Leo Brouwer is a cuban guitarrist, percussionist, componist and Arrangeur. He is one of the most important South American guitar composers of the present. One of his works named ,,Nuevos Estudios Sencillos" contain many homages to famous musicians. Among them this piece called ,,Omaggio a Tárrega"
