Goblins seem weak when it comes to fighting different teams in comparison to other options but they're not too bat, they provide an alternate team for clan wars and also are a major requirement for Dark Campaign and probably the upcoming new events in future might need them as a loadout lock. They also help in Gates of Doom Raid.
