In this lesson James Breaks down how Tomo Fujita practices chords with a metronome clicking on beats 2 and 4!

Once you get it it’s an awesome exercise and much less annoying to practice too! Tomo is a great Guitarist and fantastic tutor. I thought of this lesson as a tip of the hat to him and a way of introducing this way of practicing to my students!

The whole concept is that the metronome keeps ‘The Backbeat’ on beats 2 and 4 like a Snare drum would in a rock band. This mode of practice is very unforgiving and exactly what students working on timing should be doing.

Thank you very much for watching. If you learned anything in today’s lesson or want us to cover something special let us know in the comments!
