[Quick Guide] How to Mod in Risk of Rain 2 - The Easy Way
No sound, sorry about that, recorded this quickly to show how to mod using r2modman from the Risk of Rain 2 modding community - the last few minutes are me showing how to install and run the game with mods, I used Goku as an example
QUICK GUIDE:
1. https://thunderstore.io/package/ebkr/... GO HERE
2. Hit Manual Download, save the file anywhere
3. Extract the files (drag em) anywhere
4. Install r2modman
5. Open it up, profiles in r2modman are modular, meaning they are meant to customize your loadouts (e.x. one for multiplayer, another for custom characters, etc.)
ADDITIONAL NOTES:
to export your profile for a friend, go to Settings, Profile, and Export as Code/File
To import a profile, hit Import then paste the code or import from file
MY RECOMMENDED MODS:
I like a balanced game that doesn't add anything to make it overpowered or broken. With that said, there are a few things I consider to be imbalanced, such as loot when playing multiplayer. By running a mod named below you can host a multiplayer lobby and your friends can connect without mods but receive the benefits from them.
ShareSuite
balances multiplayer (only multiplayer) by sharing gold and items between party members, it also increases the cost of chests slightly and has amazing configuration options
UnmoddedVersion
Mod that makes the client think it's vanilla so friends can connect and share your mods. ONLY WORKS WITH SOME MODS. All on this list are compatible.
BiggerBazaar
Adds chests and more to the Bazaar, configurable to restrict items or make all reds spawn, your call
ShowDeathCause
Shows what killed you and how much damage it did. Super straightforward.
There's some guides that teach you manual install, but r2modman is far superior and easy :)
