Animator Reacts to 2D Animation (see what's wrong?)
It's fun to pull out an old explainer video and give it a bit of a roast. In this Animator Reacts, I'll share a strong script template, how to avoid information overload, and much more.
This explainer video example is quite simple and uses a lot of icons. Not always the best solution for visualizing what the voice-over explains verbally.
Especially not when these icons are imported. It really shows when the icons are turned, enlarged, or move (as animation video often does).
The main part of the 2D visuals for this animation video is made in Vyond, and I share my view on imported vs. non-imported assets—and what to look out for.
Our client gave us a brand guide dominated by blue and grey colors, and we managed to apply those to our online animation maker and use those colors consistently.
