Doc, what if I end up alone?
I often encounter the prejudice that there's some "perfect" way to communicate with others. "How to avoid offending," "How to avoid arguments," "How to avoid conflicts"—people ask, all while trying to defend their boundaries.
When it comes to defending boundaries, however, the inevitable realization comes that the other person might leave—you might be right ten times over, but what's the point if you're left alone?
That's why I recorded this video—a light but important discussion of why you shouldn't be afraid of loneliness, and where you should really focus. And, of course, I couldn't resist the temptation to dig deeper and speculate about why people fear it...
