The Rain is Drizzling, Aleksandrov - Russian School of Piano Playing - Grade 1
I learned this as part of the piano beginners course at PCA (Piano Career Academy). At first, the structure of the piece, the detached notes, the alternating hands, it all felt really overwhelming and I almost gave up on piano entirely!
It took me a couple weeks to gather the courage to start working on it... and now I can honestly say I was overreacting. Learning this piece was not more challenging than any other piece. I'm really glad I persisted, because I think this piece really taught me a few lessons about piano practice!
I "knew" how I had to practice, I just wasn't really doing it... This piece is the one that forced me to break it down and focus only on a couple measures at a time, practicing really slooow :)
