The Faltering Sky is the second single to be lifted from Paul Haslinger's new solo album, Exit Ghost.
"Paul Haslinger’s music works on many levels, and even the prettiest piano pieces on the upcoming record have a lot more going on than first meets the ear. With the video for The Faltering Sky I wanted to push against first impressions and bring out the darker currents lying just below the surface. The video consists of a series of waste objects being brutalised by faceless human oppressors, and like the music a cut and paste aesthetic where some processes are speeded up, slowed down or reversed, without it being immediately clear which, has been applied to the footage, all pointing to the unreliability of any objective reality, and the decay inherent in all physical objects" Rob Curry, video director
"Like many tracks on this album, The Faltering Sky is based late-night piano sessions I do every Summer at my home in Los Angeles. In between takes, I sit on my porch and look at the sky.
