Our tour of the Moskvich automobile plant in June 2024 lasted almost three hours. During this time, we learned much more than I expected. Maxim Klyushkin, Moskvich's direct project manager, answered our and your questions while exploring the plant's new capabilities. It was a fortunate coincidence: it turned out that Maxim's first car was a Moskvich 2141, and he was familiar firsthand with the quality of that model, especially during the 1990s, a period that was fading for Moskvich. He remembers it. When addressing quality issues, he applies his personal experience and professional knowledge. This is important and much needed in this new era for Moskvich. Here, back in 2004, Maxim began his career as a simple foreman, where he also applied himself to simple, blue-collar jobs. In other words, he gained experience from the ground up. Renault was already being produced here at the time, and after the French brand's departure, he restarted the plant with his team and was appointed Moskvich Project Manager. With nearly 20 years of experience, Maxim and his team managed to dramatically improve the quality of the cars and convince their Eastern partner that their model required further development for our market. This was finally achieved with the launch of small-unit assembly, welding, and body painting. Thus, the Moskvich has become approximately 25% better in quality than the donor car; I've seen it all with my own eyes and touched it myself.
