I've owned my 2012 BMW Z4 for 5 years now and I love the way it looks and drives, but I also like modern amenities in my cars. A while back, I installed a unit from Aliexpress and it worked fine a while, but it was very limited in it's functionality and recently started abruptly turning off while driving.
I decided to get rid of it and upgrade to a much more modern and bigger Ugode BMW Z4 headunit/display that connect to my phone with Apple CarPlay much faster and also integrates into my car's system as well. It comes with an iDrive controller as well. In this video, I show you how to install an aftermarket Android unit on a 2009-2016 BMW Z4 and go over all of the functions of the unit as well as how to set it up and connect to your phone. So, if your BMW doesn't have a display at all, this is the perfect solution for you as well.
