In this video I talk through a super short string quartet demo piece that I wrote to hear how different libraries compare and contrast from one another, and also to learn the basics of how to program each and how they respond to my usual midi "programming". The idea is to get a group feel, where the players are "watching each others' elbows," a concept I have been learning about from the community at VI-Control forum.
• Written with CSSS, so it has the home field advantage.
• Tried to make MSS First Chairs sound vaguely like CSS.
(I could make MSS sound better with more effort.)
• Spitfire AR2 was Mix 1, the Pro version with Portamento.
Disclaimer: I received an NFR for Abbey Road 2 Core / Standard version but then I purchased the "upgrade" to the Pro version at the discount (as if I'd previously purchased core) because I liked it and wanted the advanced features.
