Learning the Choreography From Just in Time on Broadway
Look out, Jonathan’s back! Tony Award® winner Jonathan Groff (Merrily We Roll Along, Hamilton) has returned to Broadway as Bobby Darin, the legendary singer whose short but remarkable life took him from teen idol to global sensation. Just In Time is nominated for 6 Tony Awards (including Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for Groff) so we had to find out more about this incredible musical.
We sat down with the show's choreographer, Shannon Lewis, to learn more about this production, what it's like working with Groff, and how the choreography helps tell the story. We also got to learn some of the choreography that Jonathan does, and there may have been a causality...but it was definitely worth it.
