Hello everyone.
It is difficult to obtain good results with TIG welding unless mill scale is removed from the surface of carbon steel.
Therefore, when TIG welding carbon steel, it is recommended to clean the surface of the area to be welded.
However, it has the disadvantage of adding grinder work time.
There are several ways to solve these problems.
Stick welding, MIG welding, CO2 welding, etc...
If the steel plate is not thick, laser welding may also be a good solution.
