Megadev took part in this year's University of Portsmouth GameJam, a yearly contest whereby the objective is to create a game from scratch within four 8-hour days. This year our three randomly chosen subjects to make our games on were: Joseph Karakitie Azigbo (a Nigerian mine-owner), Shane Johnson (an ice hockey player) and Operation Beit ol-Moqaddas (a movement during the Iran-Iraq war in the early 80s) We decided to make a game featuring all three!
The name comes from BOROBUDUR, an Indonesian restaurant we discovered in San Francisco. We found the name really funny, so it stuck with us waiting to be used in a game until today.
Our game won Best Animation.
