No joke, one of my more engaged with videos on this channel is the one where I simply let people come along for the ride when I transferred my console data from the Wii to the Wii U.
Honestly, I blame the Pikmin. (Thanks, Pikmin!)
This is... kinda like that? It's certainly inventive, and more interesting than standard progress bars. Although I'm sure we could scrounge up a few of those, too...
It's not... QUITE as active and interesting to look at as the Wii U System Transfer, but it's also a lot less... abstract? So it's kind of a mixed bag in terms of form versus function.
I still like it.
You'd BETTER like it, because doing a system transfer takes a bizarrely long time on a Nintendo 3DS.
And that's just what you see on THIS side, which is just a weird mating ritual between the system, its puny Wi-Fi innards, and Nintendo's servers... for... reasons? Reasons! If you wanna actually have all your IMPORTANT stuff besides the eShop licenses and friends you made along the way, you'll need to swap over the SD card. Unless you wanna upgrade THAT. Then you get to copy a bunch of files at the slowest read/write speed known to man. And hopefully the reader doesn't fritz out in the middle!
... ... ...wait, WHY am I doing this? I thought my dabbling in 3DS malarkey was supposed to be wrist-deep in fried angel wings? Where's my floor ice cream?!
