4.0. HOW TO RESERVE A NAME ON OBRS
How to reserve a name on OBRS
1. Before you can register a business name, a local company and building society, you are required to submit a request for name reservation
2. Access the OBRS clients’ portal by typing obrs.ursb.go.ug in the address bar of your computer browser
3. Click the “Login” button, enter account credential and click the “Sign In” button to access your account.
4. From the left side menu, click “Start”.
5. Click “Reserve Name” to apply for a Name Reservation
6. Select the Entity Type and Entity Subtype.
7. Enter at least 1 entity name and up to a maximum of 3 name options with the first name mandatory
8. Select the nature of business
9. Click Save and continue to preview the details entered
10. Select the preferred mode of payment from the provided options and pay.
11. Click “Continue” to submit the Name Reservation application after which you will receive a message and an email to confirm that your application has been successfully submitted.
12. The registry will thereafter review and either approve or query the application within a specified period
13. Once the application is approved or queried, the applicant instantly receives an email notification via their individual account email.
