I had really high hopes when I first started playing Artifice, as it's a level that everyone seems to highly rate. Let's start with the positives first. It looks really good. Like on a hotness scale, this ranks a solid 9.8/10 for me. The song is also rather unique for a GD level but I like it, though the song does get annoying after playing the level for 2-3 hours a day.
My main problem with Artifice is that some parts just don't function well. And yeah, you can call this a skill issue on my part, but it doesn't make for a good experience playing it. Some examples are the first wave, the two 21% orbs, the 30% dash orb ship that sometimes just plunges you into the wall, the spider part right after, the ball at 40ish going into the cube portal where sometimes you just die for some reason, the 41% robot jumps into the orbs, the first half of the slow part is awkward as all hell and really not fun to play,
THE GOD DANG 56 SHIP CAN GO TO HELL, the rest of the level until the 80% mark is actually hella fun, but anything that's 80% onward is garbage. Special shoutout to the mini wave at 82 where I died 7 TIMES, the big wave right after, and the blue orb in the ball at 85. You get my point. I got a lot of trouble with the gameplay. Might be my longest description yet but I had a lot to say about this level, and I couldn't do it in the video because no mic sound. Thanks for reading :)
