Solo Paddling at Sunrise & Campfire Breakfast on the Beach
Are we canoe camping yet?! For now, I'm enjoying beautiful views from a beach near home and getting out in my Swift Prospector 14 pack boat. I drive out early to be the first person out canoeing and cooking breakfast over a campfire on a beautiful beach that overlooks Lake Erie! I absolutely needed to take this morning to myself to get outside, relax and feel the sun on my face. Life has been hectic of late and sometimes you just need to take one morning like this to yourself to "reset." Some of you will surely understand this. Seeing a bald eagle and a baby dear on the beach was really fun! Breakfast was simple, but man was that coffee good!! I had some trouble getting that fire started, but everything was damp from the night before, I swear..
