The ShadowSword Duelist entered the ranked arena of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel ready to flex with the power of my newly updated Blue-Eyes White Dragon deck! I was facing a duelist named Thotty, and I had the ultimate combo ready to go.
But you know what's more disappointing than a bad hand? A victory by technicality! Right as the game was about to reach its peak and I was ready to unleash the final Blue-Eyes attack, Thotty's connection seemed to flatline!
It was a hollow, anticlimactic win. The Dragon of Light was cheated out of its glory! However, a loss is a loss, and failing to finish the duel is the ultimate sign that you need remedial education.
This disappointing defeat has earned Thotty a special, dishonorable enrollment into the ShadowRealm University! I hope the internet connection is better in the Shadow Realm, Thotty.
