Trimble R12i GNSS | Testing tilted measurements
Robert Greenhalgh of Ingenieurbüro Daeges tested the accuracy of the Trimble R12i antenna at an incline. Here's what he had to say:
"A client was surprised we could capture this point under a parked vehicle...I guess most people still expect survey poles to be vertical!
I did a few tests with our R12i antenna to quantify the difference from a vertical to a severely inclined measurement - 2 cm horizontal and 4 mm height difference is acceptable for many applications.
It isn't a brand new feature, but it takes #productivity to the next level - so kudos to Trimble for this IMU implementation."
